Hyungchul Yoon


Dr. Hyungchul Yoon is currently an assistant professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research interests include developing smart sensing technologies for managing and monitoring civil infrastructure systems. He has been utilizing the cutting edge technologies including smartphones and unmanned aerial vehicles to aid post disaster response and to monitor civil infrastructure systems. His work is inherently multi-disciplinary, involving a broad array of structural engineering, structural dynamics, system identification, computer vision, machine learning, context aware computing, signal processing, His teaching interests include structural analysis, matrix structural analysis, structural dynamics, and numerical methods.
